Telegram Bans Cambodian Dark Market Haowang Guarantee Linked to Crypto Scams

Telegram has removed all channels, NFTs, and shops associated with Haowang Guarantee, a Cambodian P2P market accused of facilitating crypto fraud and laundering stablecoins through fictitious trades. The ban follows investigations by Wired and Elliptic, which revealed the platform operated as a dark market despite its seemingly legitimate facade.

Haowang Guarantee, formerly known as Huione Guarantee, had thousands of Telegram channels and groups purged, along with NFTs issued by its store owners. The marketplace announced its shutdown shortly after Telegram’s enforcement action.
